WAIKIKI TRIPS: KEWALO BASIN HARBOR

1125 Ala Moana Blvd., Honolulu

Check in at the whale watch vessel “Honu Lani” along the front row of slips near the yellow “HAWAII NAUTICAL” gate sign at slip F-28 no later than 20 minutes prior to departure.

Convenient self-parking is also available at the harbor and nearby beach park.

If self-driving, some GPS units locate better using “1079 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu, HI 96814”

WEST OAHU TRIPS: WAIANAE HARBOR 

85-491 Farrington Hwy, Waianae

Check in at the sailing vessel “Ko Nau Lani” or the powerboat “Sea Dreams” no later than 20 minutes prior to departure. The drive from Waikiki is about an hour.

 If self-driving, some GPS units locate better using “85-471 Farrington Highway, Waianae, HI 96792”

PORT WAIKIKI CRUISES TRIPS: Hilton Pier at Hilton Hawaiian Village

2005 Kalia Road, Honolulu

Check in at the “Port Waikiki Cruises” kiosk no later than 20 minutes prior to departure.

The kiosk is beachfront, near the Hilton Pier and the Diamondhead exterior corner of Tropics Bar & Grill lanai.

If you are coming by cab, have them take you right to the waterside dead-end of “Paoa Place.”

KONA, HONOKOHAU HARBOR

CATAMARAN “Spirit of Aloha” and LUXURY “No Wiki” TRIPS:  Check in at the Hawaii Nautical slip in the Outer Basin, slip #38 & #39, 20 minutes before departure. Head to this pinpoint on GPS: 19.6688,-156.0267

Directions to Honokohau:

Turn onto Kealakehe Pwky and into the Harbor. Drive straight, keeping the American flag on your left hand side. As you approach a bend in the road, you’ll see a small structure with sunflowers painted on it. Continue on and pass through the first set of yellow gates followed by two speed bumps. After the last set of bumps, bear right to pass through the second yellow gate and enter the gravel parking lot. You will see a Hawaiian Nautical Sign above the dock space and a Hawaii Nautical Check-In sign under the tree with an arrow pointed to our slip. To find the closest spot, park along the right side of the parking lot near the Check-In sign.

 

 

  

KONA, WAIKOLOA A-BAY (Anaehoomalu Bay)

69-1081 Kuualii Place Waikoloa, Hawaii 96738

Vessels depart from Anaehoomalu Bay at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. If driving, set your GPS to “69-1081 Kuualii Place Waikoloa, Hawaii 96738”. This will take you toward the A-Bay beach and the Lava Lava Beach Club. Park at the A-Bay Beach Park parking lot. Head toward the beach, once you reach the sand, take a right and walk along the beach. About halfway down the beach, you will see a white sign “Hawaii Nautical Check In Here”.  Wait at the sign for the blue tender boat to come ashore.

When boarding at A-Bay, it is a beach-loading process with transfer from a tender-boat, with barefoot entry that takes a few steps near shore from the beach. Come in casual clothing that may come in contact with water.

CHECKING IN: Gather ashore near the white sign that says “Hawaii Nautical Check in here”. We will come to get you there in our blue catamaran tender.

Directions to Kawaihae Harbor-South: From Hwy 19 bear left onto Hwy 270 (Akoni Pule Hwy). Head north briefly on Route 270, and look toward the left for a green gate enclosing a port complex. Take the very first left into the green gate, following the sign for Gate 1. Continue west (straight) onto a gravel road towards the ocean. Take a left at Gate 12 heading south through open gates towards bathrooms and ramp at Kawaihae South Harbor Basin. The boat, Kohola will be just pass the bathrooms or marina parking lot overlooking boats down the ramp.

Maalaea Harbor

check in at the Maalaea General Store at 132 Maalaea Road

From WAILUKU / KAHULUI – Take Hwy 30 (Honoapi’ilani Hwy) & keep going straight until you reach the main intersection for the Maui Ocean Center. Turn left at the lights and drive into the harbor. by car12 min (7.0 mil)

From LAHAINA – Drive Southbound on Hwy 30 (Honoapi’ilani Hwy), as the road opens up after the tunnel, you will see a sign for Maalaea Harbor, and you will see Buzz’s Wharf. Turn right at the Maalaea Harbor Sign. If you pass the Maui Ocean Center on your right – then you’ve gone too far. By car30 – 45 min (15.2 mil)

From KIHEI / WAILEA – Drive Northbound on the Pi’ilani Hwy (Hwy 31), or S. Kihei Rd and follow the signs that take you to Hwy 31. Eventually, that road will end in a T-intersection. Get in the left turn lane to follow the signs pointing to Lahaina. Turn left and get onto Hwy 30 (Honoapi’ilani Hwy). After a few minutes you will see the main intersection for the Maui Ocean Center on your left. Turn left at the lights and drive into the harbor. by car15 – 20 min (6.8 mil)
