Vessels depart from Anaehoomalu Bay at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. The Waikoloa sales and service desk is located at Hilton Waikoloa Village main lobby near the tram stop and can be reached at 808-886-2919 9am-5pm.
CHECKING IN: Look for our orange Hawaii Nautical check-in banner near the two prominent coconut trees. We will come to get you there in our catamaran tender.
BOARDING PROCESS: When boarding at A-Bay, it is a beach-loading process with transfer from a tender-boat, with barefoot entry that takes a few steps near shore from the beach. Come in easily removable shoes and casual clothing that may come in contact with water.
FREE HAWAII NAUTICAL SHUTTLE: Free resort shuttle for guests booked on Hawaii Nautical trips departs from Hilton Waikoloa Village lower-level shuttle stop 20 minutes prior to each trip (reserve in advance).
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: If driving, set your GPS to "69-1081 Kuualii Place Waikoloa, Hawaii 96738". This will take you toward the A-Bay beach and the Lava Lava Beach Club. Park at the A-Bay Beach Park parking lot, and walk along the beach toward the middle.
WALK: The check-in area is a 5-minute walk from the Marriott and Kolea properties, and about 15 minutes from the Hilton Waikoloa Village.
RESORT SHOPPING SHUTTLE: The Marriott and King's Shops stops are closest to the beach.
ATTIRE: Your adventure begins from the beautiful sandy beach at A-Bay. Come in shoes that you don't mind getting sandy, and are easy-to-remove for beach-ramp boarding. Casual clothing is recommended for all trips. On snorkel trips we suggest wearing swim-trunks and a t-shirt for men, and a swimsuit under shorts or a wrap for ladies. CATAMARAN Spirit of Aloha: There are shaded, covered and dry areas of this boat, and also optional areas such as the front nets where you can enjoy sea spray and more wind. Restrooms for changing are aboard the catamaran. POWERBOAT Makai: This is a fast and nimble open powerboat, with plenty of sea-spray likely on trips outside the bay. Clothing that you don't mind getting wet is recommended for whale-watch and snorkel trips on the Makai powerboat.
CARRY-ONs: On the CATAMARAN Spirit of Aloha, there is plenty of covered space to place bags, belongings, towels and clothing that will stay dry. On the POWERBOAT Makai: For all adventures besides short tender-rides to the catamaran, this is a fast boat with low sides and lots of sea-spray. There is storage beneath each saddle-style seat for dry storage of a small bag or purse, and a take-along towel.
